Rock Pool by the Sea | Photo Art Print
Shot in Mona Vale, NSW, Australia
The high tide here is a magic trick that has to be seen to be believed, the conjuring of islands floating in the middle of the ocean, fleeting and separate before the tide goes down again and connects the islands back to the shore. The true trick is the restorative salve that is sitting in a pool, looking out at the ocean, letting the tide roll in while we float on.
Mona Vale rock pool is situated on the tip of a sand spit near the northern end of Mona Vale Beach. There are two rock pools here: a larger pool measuring 30 metres long, and a smaller pool which is suitable for children and less confident swimmers. These pools become surrounded by water at high tide, creating the illusion of floating in the middle of the ocean.
Prints are carefully rolled, and shipped in kraft tube boxes.
