10-Year Craftsmanship Warranty

 

Every Peter Yan Studio framed artwork is made to order in Australia using carefully selected materials and professional framing techniques. Each piece is made to be enjoyed for many years, and is backed by a 10-Year Craftsmanship Warranty.

What is covered?

For 10 years from the date your artwork is delivered, Peter Yan Studio will cover manufacturing or material defects affecting the construction of your framed artwork under normal indoor use.

This includes defects relating to:

  • frame construction and joints

  • print mounting or separation

  • glazing installation

  • backing and frame assembly

  • supplied hanging hardware

  • other faults caused by defective materials or workmanship

If a covered defect occurs, Peter Yan Studio will assess the artwork and, where the claim is valid, repair or replace the affected component or artwork at no cost.

What isn't covered?

The warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and ageing

  • scratches, marks or accidental damage

  • damage caused by incorrect hanging, installation or handling

  • damage caused by falls, impacts, pets or third-party products

  • fading or discolouration caused by prolonged exposure to direct sunlight

  • moisture, mould, excessive humidity, heat, cold or other environmental conditions

  • damage caused by improper cleaning, maintenance or storage

  • alterations, modifications or repairs carried out by someone other than Peter Yan Studio or its authorised framers

  • natural variations in timber, including grain, colour and texture

  • damage that occurred during delivery, which is covered separately under Peter Yan Studio's delivery policy

  • change of mind

The warranty applies only to artworks purchased directly from Peter Yan Studio and used for their intended purpose indoors.

Making a claim

To make a warranty claim, contact:

Please include:

  • your order number or proof of purchase

  • a description of the issue

  • clear photographs showing the affected area

  • a photograph showing the complete artwork

Peter Yan Studio may request additional photographs or information before determining the best solution.

For an approved warranty claim, Peter Yan Studio will arrange and cover reasonable transport costs where the artwork needs to be returned for assessment, repair or replacement. Please do not return an artwork unless instructed to do so.

If the original framing material or component is no longer available, it may be replaced with an equivalent material of comparable quality.

A repair or replacement does not restart the 10-year warranty period. The remaining period of the original warranty will continue to apply.

Australian Consumer Law

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
